Scarborough Fair

Well Scarborough Fair is what I start singing to myself every time I say the word ‘Sage’. Perhaps I should draw the whole collection (Parsley, Rosemary & Thyme), perhaps when I’m bored sometime and am looking for something to do…

So this is the latest development of the book ‘Sage: The herb of immortality’ written by Christina Stephenson. This drawing will go on the back of the book, with a black and white version as one of the chapter illustrations. Now to get the other chapter illustrations done! Go to her website to check out her two previous books in the collection, ‘Lemon Balm: The neglected herb’ and Lavender: The first aromatherapy herb’. I’m sure there is someone you know that would love these for Christmas!

I was fortunate enough to attend an incredibly interesting and inspirational independent writers and publishers festival at the Gold Coast with Christina last Saturday. I came away from it feeling so privileged to be able to make a living from doing what I absolutely love doing, just as the authors too seemed privileged.  They have written because they have either a passion for writing or they are passionate about something so much that they wanted to share. If you have ever considered publishing your own book check out Indie Authors to find out more. Thanks Chris for taking me along (and for sponsoring a session for me!).
